I just posted a photo of some writing that I took from my journal and I pose the idea that maybe we should stop asking who we are and start asking who we want to be.. Now some of you might be saying oh god here we go another vague philosophical question poised by some amateur hipster writer and you might be right in fact you probably are right. It’s vague, it’s unclear and yet it has so much meaning.
We spend the majority of our lives asking who we are when we should be asking who we want to be? Instead of trying to find some meaning to who we are in trivial things like talents or relationships we should be deciding who we will be. Yes experiences shape us but we decide the type of people we will be - will you be the type of person who wonders who you are or will you be the type of person who decides who you are?
